Northrop Grumman has opened a two-building, launch and missile defense development campus in Huntsville, Alabama, to expand its research and development capability in support of defense, intelligence and government customers.
The new Northrop Grumman Redstone Gateway will house more than a thousand employees working on space technologies for missile defense, the aerospace and defense company said Thursday.
The campus has a hardware-in-the-loop integration lab where engineers could employ DevSecOps methodologies for system development, integration, testing and other end-to-end activities.
“The enhancements to the facility will also optimize operating efficiencies and provide our team with a dynamic research and development work environment,” said Scott Lehr, vice president and general manager of launch and missile defense systems at Northrop.
